Climate Change Related Geographic Exposure
From east to west the geographic sensitivity is increasing with West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Aktobe and parts of Kostanay having the highest sensitivity. The gap between soil productivity and soil moisture may indicate influence of land degradation. This appears in the northwest of the country and a zone in the foreland of the Tien Shan mountains in Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan provinces.
